Tiny Tots Splashes is a family run business, offering a unique service from our family home in Bedhampton havant, near Portsmouth. Our amazing team have been teaching babies and children to swim for over 15 years. And over this period we have built up a fantastic reputation for our swimming lessons. We teach the importance of life saving water skills, in addition to the stroke technique for improvers alongside having fun.

Our Swimming Lessons are Automatic Monthly rolling renewal, this is to help make swimming lessons more affordable with you not having to pay for big blocks upfront when your unsure about a new place or how your child will take to their new swimming lessons.

Children are booked into a swimming class based on their age and swimming ability and this booking is for the same day and class time for the duration of that month so your lesson day and time will not change unless we advise you so.

Monthly Lessons are on an automatic monthly renewal, so your lessons will always continue, unless you have advised otherwise. On 03rd of each month we take payment a month in advance for the following months lessons.

Here at Tiny Tots Splashes we are so passionate about teaching babies and children the importance to be water confident and to have fun, be free and enjoy the water as well as learning life saving water skills and stroke technique.

We've been running swimming lessons as a family for over 15 years from our family home in Bedhampton, Havant. As a swim school we have built up an excellent reputation over the years for the fast progression rate that is achieved and also the intense but fun enjoyable lessons we provide. We are a friendly passionate team of 8 staff working either front of house or behind the scenes from pool owners, pool chemical operators, admin and teachers.

Our team of qualified & insured swimming teachers are professionals when it comes to identifying children’s swimming abilities/levels and personal needs. We believe children progress faster and more confidently not just physically but also emotionally when assisted in the water so all of our expert teachers teach every class from in the water to help provide more interaction and also provide a better demonstration of skills.

Our team members has become the heart of tiny tots success over the years offering such personal unique Experience. Our team of swimming instructors have over 67 years experience between all in the swimming industry.

As we provide lessons from our family pool we have a huge benefit that most other swimming schools don’t, we have full control over the facilities from water treatment/ temperature/ cleanliness and maintenance and unlike many schools, we send our water samples off monthly to be tested at the local hospital for peace of mind for both you and us. The test results are always displayed in our office available for you to see.

Onsite we also have a full time operating reception/office area with a fully stocked swim shop, this way administration staff is always available onsite to assist you with any queries should it be booking a courtesy class/payments or just stocking up on swim nappies or accessories.

We also have Free car parking onsite, spacious Entrance area to remove shoes and wait for your lesson, inside the pool room we have 5 separate changing rooms spread around the swimming pool so you have full privacy when changing yourself and little one.

Monthly Swim lessons

All swimming lessons are booked in advance upfront. Everyone pays for the full month’s lessons – (one 30-minute lesson per week) your lessons are booked in for the same day and time every week for the duration of the month. Depending on what day you have booked in for, depends on how many lessons you will be charged for that month. For example, some months have 5 weeks so this would total to 5 swimming lessons that month, if it’s just 4 weeks your pay for 4 swimming lessons.

When you make a booking and payment has been received in full, you will be sent an email to confirm the booking for the lessons you have booked your child onto. Each month you will receive an emailed invoice asking you to pay for the next month’s swimming lessons upfront. Your lessons will continue as normal each month on the same day and time that you originally booked onto as long as your payment is made in full on 03rd of each month when due. All lesson must be paid in full when your booking is made, we do not allow payment on the day, and we do not hold slots once payment dates have passed.

Should for any reason the scheduled payment date need to be changed or adjusted we will notify our customers in advance of this happening. we do try our best to ensure its the same date, however on very rare occasions its been changed with advance notice provided.

Lesson Renewal

All clients will automatically be billed and charged on 03rd of each month for the renewal of next month’s lessons, if you have decided you do not want to continue swimming lessons we require a minimum of 1 months notice to cancel. failure to give the 1 months required notice will incur additional cancelation fees.

for example: you must cancel a minimum of 30 days before the course month is due to start:

current swimming month: september

last booked in month: october (this is the one months notice providing you have let us know before 01st october that your not renewing for november)

Not renewed for: november - no swimming

Failure to inform the office with the required full 30 days cancelation notice about non-renewal will mean clients are automatically renewed onto the next course. A 50% admin charge will be applied, should you cancel after the required notice. As our lessons are only short monthly courses as a business, we require the notice to avoid empty slots or clients not being able to swim. Short monthly courses mean we keep the cost down for our clients.

All swimming lessons are booked monthly back-to-back in advance we do not skip weeks due to non-attendance. If you do not wish to do this, you can choose to not renew however your slot will go up for sale please ensure you notify about non-renewal a minimum of 30 days before the month starts.

we open all year round for lessons but generally close for a break at christmas and close on bank holidays ( if for any reason we decide to open on a bank holiday or over christmas we will notify our customers in advance of that month being paid for.

Cancelling a swimming lesson

All clients will be allowed to cancel a Maximum of 1 swimming lesson per month, any additional cancellations will become a loss. To cancel a swimming lesson clients Must cancel BEFORE 8AM that swim day to qualify for a courtesy lesson, any cancellations received after 8am will become a loss. To cancel your swim lesson, you must send a text message only to- 07568136112 (do not cancel via members hub)

Notice of cancelation for a holiday must be given at least 2 weeks before your booked class (still only allowed a maximum of 1 cancelation per month) any additional will become a loss.

Courtesy lessons are NOT guaranteed they will be subject to our availability at that time, so lessons may still become a loss. You will have 30 days from your cancelled class to book in for courtesy swim class. It is client’s responsibility to regularly contact the office to try and book in a courtesy lesson. at present we run a weekly cancellation list that you will be added to each week you request a catch up. You will need to provide the office of your availability.

The courtesy lesson will need to be on an alternative day to your regular swim class. We will only offer you 1 courtesy date, if you refuse this date your lesson will become a loss. Please remember a courtesy lesson could arise on the day at short notice. we cannot keep offering slots and courtesy lesson availability will change daily.

Courtesy lessons will not be tagged onto the end of courses.

Should your swimming class be cancelled by tiny tots splashes an alternative swimming lesson will be offered, no credits or refunds given.

Company Cancellation of swimming Lessons

As frustrating as it might be sometimes children do have accidents in the pool and staff do become unwell or the pool can have technical issues. When this happens, we might have to cancel your booked in swimming lesson. If for any reason your swimming lesson is cancelled by us, we will contact you to reschedule for a courtesy class. If we do need to cancel your swimming lesson the admin staff will do their very best to contact you ASAP, to make you aware of the cancelled lesson. If for any reason the class attendance is less than usual we may also contact you to reschedule. We do not offer refunds/credits or tag lessons over.

Double Protection Policy

Please ensure that all children who are/or are not toilet trained i.e., babies and toddlers up to the age of 3 years, wear Double Protection every visit to the swimming pool. We Require both the disposable little swimmers nappies and a Happy Nappy over the top (made by splash about), this is a reusable swim nappy, and both must be worn every Swim visit. Splash about Happy nappy’s can be purchased from the Tiny Tot’s office or online direct from www.splashabout.co.uk.The Double Protection Policy helps hugely with avoiding accidents occurring during a swimming lesson that may cause pool closure and lessons to be cancelled.

Nappies and changing your baby

Tiny Tots splashes Has the right to refuse entry to any child who is not suitably attired. Babies wearing Splash about Snugs, costumes and any other swimwear must still wear a Happy Nappy and a disposable swimming nappy. Inside the venue we always have 5 separate changing cubicles for privacy, this is to accommodate the 5 swimmers having a lesson. In each changing room you are supplied with baby changing mat, changing table, Baskets for personal belongings and a travel cot. changing tables to be used at your own risk and are for children 16months and under. please do not use any other raised area such as benches or trollies this is to prevent babies rolling onto the floor from high surfaces which can easily happen and is extremely distressing for all concerned.

What time to arrive in the car park:

Due to limited car parking facilities Clients must not arrive too early as this can cause major queuing coming in the car park. We have a 15 min flowing system if this is followed clients will always be able to park on time. please do not enter the car park any earlier than 15 mins before your swim class starts. This allows you 5 mins to enter the main entrance ready for when you can enter the changing rooms 10 mins before the class starts.

The car park and main entrance is monitored to ensure we have a smooth running always set up, so if you have arrived too early you may be advised to wait in your car or turn around and come back when there's space, please do not feel offended it’s just to ensure everyone including yourself can park on time and are following the rules.

Medical Conditions

when you first book with tiny tots you will be asked for any existing medical conditions for either yourself, another carer who may swim in the lessons and your child who is booked into the swimming lessons. We ask all parents to fill out an enrolment form online when you book. We stress that all parents or carers must inform tiny tots of any changes, including pregnancy, as soon as you are aware of the changes. All information will be kept strictly confidential and for our records only.

Illness

Should your child or the adult taking your child into the water have or develop any illness we kindly ask that you let the office know immediately and consult your doctor. Please DO NOT bring your child swimming if they are suffering from the following illnesses:

• Ear infection -advised to be off until healed as could progress to a perforated ear drum.
  
• Chicken pox – stay off till cleared
  
• Impetigo - required to miss swimming till completely cleared
  
• Conjunctivitis - required to miss swimming till its cleared
  
• Unknown rash - required to miss swimming until checked by a doctor
  
• Chest infection - required to be off till cleared.
  
• Diarrhoea - required to miss at least 2 weeks off swimming - guidelines given to us by public health England for Swimming pools
  
• Sick – required to miss that week’s lesson
  
• Verruca/Athletes Foot - unable to return to swimming until completely cleared - socks are forbidden as they DO NOT stop the spreading - PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE FOR ADVICE
  
• COVID- do not attend swimming until testing negative
  

Rules and Hygiene

Please do not eat/feed your child any later than 1 hour and 30 mins before swimming to allow enough time for digestion and to help avoid/minimise the risk of sick accidents. To help keep our facilities clean and welcoming throughout our operation of everyday lessons, we request that clients follow the following requests.

• REMOVE ALL SHOES BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL ROOM
  
• PLEASE PLACE ALL BELONGINGS AWAY IN THE BASKETS PROVIDED
  
• REMOVE ALL JEWELLERY
  
• REMOVE ANY PLASTERS FROM ADULTS/CHILDREN
  
• TIE BACK LONG HAIR
  
• SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL ADULTS/CHILDREN
  
• TAKE ALL USED NAPPIES AND SWIMSUITS/TOWELS HOME WITH YOU
  
• DO NOT USE TALC AT OUR FACILITIES
  
• KEEP CONTROL OF CHILDREN IN THE WATER AND ON POOL SIDE
  
• PLEASE RESPECT THE CLASS IN THE WATER AT ALL TIMES
  
• PLEASE USE ALL POTTIES IN THE TOILET
  
• DO NOT USE MOBILE PHONES/VIDEOS/IPADS OR ANYTHING WITH A CAMERA IN THE POOL ROOM
  

We often get asked what’s the point in showering before we have a lesson, A quick rinse in the shower will hugely reduce the number of bacteria that we all carry as humans from entering the pool. It also helps remove any moisturisers/deodorants that we all apply daily, we like to keep the clarity of pool water nice and crystal clear so please help us maintain this and shower before every lesson even if you in a rush and running late a shower is still necessary!

Spectators:

As a small swimming school offering swimming lessons from our family home, Due to our insurance Policy we have a no-Spectator rule. We are only allowed one adult to attend per child swimming. This is also to avoid swimming classes being disrupted by spectators’ noise on pool side, and to ensure your child gets the most out of each lesson as well as minimising any overcrowding in a small area.

If you arrive with an additional spectator sadly, we will politely refuse their entry.
